After two busy days of setting up the festival got off to a great start today. 30 fab trees and loads of visitors! The Rector launched proceedings with a short prayer and a visiting group of ringers rang for three and a half hours!!

We had over 250 paying visitors, more than 330 votes were cast and we are about £1,000 in profit. Can't tell you who is leading the voting but it is close.

Looking forward to day two. 

Spent a happy hour yesterday delivering invites and application forms. Decided Ampthill is a great place to be even on a damp, cloudy Sunday. The post that supports the Christmas lights was being put up - very exciting!

Where has the time gone?? I'm getting a bit behind. Invites / booking forms out this weekend. Who invented work? It keeps getting in the way.

Well, that's another job done! Forms have been updated and added to the website ready for anyone to sign up. The application for the license is ready to go of on Wednesday so it's full spee ahead. Still loads to do!

Well, here we go with tree festival 2009. I have started updating web pages and need to get a meeting arranged. It all seemed such a long way away but now it is screaming towards us at a terrifying rate. So much to do, so little time!!
